Photo: Caulking For Mother's Laundry Room

My mother's then-boyfriend Jimmy had built her a laundry room out of our old back porch a few years ago. While I couldn't do the same, I noticed that there were cracks around the trim and across the ceiling awhile back. I can't remember if this was Jimmy's fault or just happened that way. My mother is pretty useless when it came to home repair, so while we were at the home improvement place, I told her to get a squeeze tube of latex caulk and I would do the labor because I know she would never get around to it.

  1. My husband does most of the repairs around here, but always leaves the caulking up to me. It's a chore I hate doing, but he'd just make a mess so I bite my tongue.

  2. Your mother is lucky, Adam! I live in a household where both people are pretty repair challenged. Have a good one!

  3. A little caulk can sure improve the looks while sealing out drafts.

  4. I am glad to learn you help your mama...our son is sure a help to me, too. Since Mr.Sweet's passing, I am learning to do a lot of things I didn;t know I could do.
