Fact of the Day: King Yama

Yama is the ruler of the underworld and the God of Death in not only Hinduism but he basically serves more-or-less the same role in Buddhism, Sikhism, and also in Chinese and Japanese mythology.

  3. I was not familiar with Yama. I wonder about the origins of figures like this in mythologies around the world. I've been reading about the structure of the brain and the physical processes in the brain that occur during spiritual experiences. I keep wrangling with why do we have spiritual experiences and what does it all mean.
