Fact of the Day: Leaves the Nest Late

Unlike most other birds, most species of pigeons never leave the nest when they're babies. They wait until they're young juveniles before venturing out into the real world.

  5. I knew this because I had some pigeons living outside my window. They were quite big before they headed out on their own.
